Character Building Program

In Line With The Philosophy & Motto Of The School To Help The Students Develop A Solid And Well-rounded Character, The Following Programs Are In Place:


Morning Devotions

Each Class Opens With Morning Devotions.  This Helps Each Student Put God First In The Morning When Classes Begin. This Is Used As A Time For Prayer, Reading The Bible, Or For Having Discussions About How We Can Live Out Our Faith.


Monday Chapel

This Takes Place First Thing On A Monday Morning. The Purpose Of Chapel Is To Focus On God And Develop A Sense Of Collective Worship As A School Community. It Provides Each Class With The Opportunity To Lead Others In Worshipping God. It Also Extends The CARE Program As Students Are Exposed To The Input & Perspectives Of Other Teachers And Students From Various Grades. 


CARE (Character And Religious Education) 

For Elementary School, Values Are Inculcated In Weekly Lessons. The Program Has Three Main Strands: Developing And Growing In A Relationship With God, Understanding Of Ourselves And Relationships With Others And A Sense Of Community. Other Themes Include Hospitality, Truthfulness, Orderliness And Forgiveness. Practical Life Application Of Skills Is Central To The Curriculum. Bible Stories Are Incorporated Into The Lessons As Illustrations For The Concepts. Students Are Helped To Internalize The Learning Of The Values Through Art & Craft, Written Reflections, Skits And Group Projects.


For Middle School And High School, Character Building Is Accomplished Through The Teaching Of Life Skills, Where They Learn Self-awareness/ Self-mastery, Interpersonal Intelligence In Empathy & Leadership, And The Development Of Self-esteem And Confidence Through Being Competent In Developing Skills In Career Planning, Money Management, Fashion Sense, Etc. Healthy And Godly Attitudes With Regards To Family Life Are Also Dealt With In The Curriculum By The Teacher And Scheduled Talks By Specialists.


Discipline Program

Just As The Above Programs Encourage The Students To Do & Be Good, The Discipline Procedures Of The School Discourage Them From Otherwise. Students Are Encouraged To Consider The Choices That They Make And The Impact Of Them On Themselves Or Others. Students Receive Praise And Are Rewarded For Making Good Examples And Setting An Excellent Example To Others. Consequences Are Put In Place To Prevent And Limit Waywardness From The Path Of Character Development. Details Of Consequences For Various Levels Of Infringements Are Listed In The Parents & Students’ Handbook, However Giving Back And Serving The School Community Is An Important Feature.
